We are searching for a full-time Production Operator for Inwards/Outwards Goods & Small Equipment Maintenance

  • Are you a certified forklift operator with over 5 years of experience in the safe loading and unloading of trucks and steel racks?
  • Are you reliable, trustworthy, capable of working autonomously, possess an eye for detail, and dedication to improving workplace efficiency?

  •  Are you capable of assisting in the testing and diagnosis of issues in powered hand tools, as well as carrying out plug top replacement and electrical test and tag responsibilities?

Our Australian, family-owned waste equipment manufacturing business has been operating for more than 25+ years in the Gippsland VIC region. Based in Hazelwood North VIC, we offer a great place to work for those with an Easyquip “It Can Be Done” attitude.

This role presents a full-time opportunity for an experienced professional in stores/warehousing, preferably with a background in manufacturing. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, ownership, and attention to detail.

About your job:

Daily duties will include;

  • Liaising daily with the National Procurement Manager & Vic Freight Coordinator, ensuring inbound and outbound trucks are loaded/unloaded safely and to schedule.
  • Conducting thorough Inspection of all inbound and outbound goods for quality and completeness, ensuring that all goods match the consignments or delivery dockets.
  • Receipting delivered materials into MYOB Advanced.
    (This task requires a fundamental understanding of inventory management, good receipting, stock control, and general computer usage. Although MYOB-specific training will be provided, proficiency in these areas is essential.)
  • Conducting rolling stock takes / counts and assisting with annual branch major stocktaking processes.
  • Maintaining the yard and workshop using 5S Manufacturing Principles – Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardise and Sustain.
  • Perform fault diagnosis and basic repairs on powered hand tools, replacement of plug tops, and conducting electrical testing and tagging. (Nationally recognised training can be provided to individuals demonstrating the aptitude to successfully complete these tasks.)
  • Daily allocation and periodic inventory management of personnel PPE resources with the objective of waste reduction.
  • Production Operator responsibilities encompassing plastics moulding, product finishing, steel bending, and cutting as necessary, particularly during periods of low activity.

COMPUTER LITERACY, A CURRENT HIGH-RISK FORKLIFT LICENCE AND EXTENSIVE PREVIOUS OPERATING/ LOADING EXPERIENCE ARE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS ROLE. 

Experience with using gantry cranes, nationally accredited safety in lifting training or dogging, and prior experience with MYOB Advanced will be highly regarded.
